Number one - this is not a race it is an enjoyable bike ride to spread awareness about the senior citizens, the gems of our community.
No wild or reckless bicycle riders will be allowed.
All riders must have helmets.
Young riders must be 9 years old or older with the consent of their parent/s.
T-shirts with our logo and the bikeathon will be distributed to all riders and we ask that everyone wears the t-shirt to spread the awareness.
Will there be hydration stations along the way?
Yes. There will be one hydration/energy booth plus numerous water fountains along the way.
What happens if I am unable to reach my fundraising goal or my minimum fundraising obligation?
The fundraising goal does not limit anyone from riding with us. The minimum fundraising obligation is what counts. The local riders are meant to fundraise only $100. The Miami-Boca Ride is only $500. If someone is unable to do so he should contact us and we can help him/her learn how to easily fund-raise that amount online. The other option is simply to donate themselves that amount or ask their relatives to be their sponsor.
What happens if my bicycle breaks in the middle of the ride?
City Bikes of Aventura will tag along as the bike repair service. We thank them tremendously for their generous sponsorship.
